The New Mexico branch of the Komei Jyuku was started by Sensei Randy Sanders to assist the Komei Jyuku in extending the traditional Japanese sword art not only to New Mexico but to Spanish speaking countries as well, such as Guyana. In New Mexico there are currently branches of the Komei Jyuku in Albuquerque and Santa Fe
